Cookies and local storage

Every cookie we set, what it holds, and how long it lives. Last updated 26 August 2026.

There are no third-party scripts on this site. No analytics vendor, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, no embedded fonts loaded from someone else's server. Everything below is first party, and nothing on this list is shared with anyone.

Essential cookies

These run the site. They are set without asking, because the site cannot work without them and they do nothing else.

NameWhat it holdsLifetime
sessionid Your sign-in session, the workspace you are currently viewing, and whether you have already downloaded the QBR template. It holds a random identifier; the data sits on our server. 2 weeks
csrftoken A random value that proves a form submission came from this site. It protects your account from cross-site request forgery. 1 year
lt_consent Your answer to the cookie question, stored as one word. Remembering a refusal is what stops us asking again on every page. 6 months

Cookies we set only if you accept

These record which campaign or link brought you to the site, so we can tell which pages and posts are worth the time to write. If you have not accepted, they are never set. If you accept and later change your mind, choosing essential only below deletes them.

NameWhat it holdsLifetime
lt_utm The campaign that first brought you here, as a short name such as n8n-forum. Set once and not overwritten. 30 days
lt_path The most recent campaign or internal link you arrived through, in the same short form. Overwritten each time. 30 days

Neither holds a name, an email address, or an advertising identifier. If you create an account, the campaign name is recorded against that signup so we know which door worked.

Local storage

A few display preferences are kept in your browser's local storage rather than in a cookie, which means they stay on your device and are never sent to us. They are lt-theme (light or dark), lt-ledger-density (compact or comfortable table rows), and lt-currency (the currency the ROI calculator displays). Clearing your browser data removes them.

Global Privacy Control

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal and set no attribution cookies. You will not see the banner at all.

Your choice

You can change your answer at any time, and withdrawing is as easy as consenting. This form applies immediately.
